Injectors are electrically operated valves which control the quantity of fuel delivered to the engine. By adding the fuel to the air sucked in by the engine, a mixture is created with the required fuel/air ratio. By optimising the opening and closing times of the injectors, the vehicle’s performance and emissions are the same as those of a vehicle running on petrol at all engine speeds. AEB i-Plus injectors standout for their silent operation, and their constructional design, which has been studied to offer an high tolerance to fuel impurities.
AEB i-Plus rail injector combines the technical features of a high-end injector with outstanding resistance to the impurities in gas, so that use of a gas filter is not indispensable. The injectors are of one size, the different flow rate is determined by the installed nozzles. Different colors of plastic nozzles indicate the diameter of the nozzle holes.
Rail maintenance is straightforward thanks to the use of specific tools supplied by AEB. The rails of AEB are also pre-arranged to fit an optional gas temperature sensor (which is not necessary if the system includes an AEB P+T Map sensor).
